Delilah is a gentle terrier/pit mix who, at just 9 months old and about 40 pounds, has already spent far more time in a shelter than any puppy ever should. She is full of hope, sweetness, and playful energy — and she has been waiting for someone to finally choose her. Delilah is a bright, affectionate young dog who gets along wonderfully with other dogs and has also done great with cats during her stay. She loves to play, loves to explore, and loves to be close to people… but day after day, she watches other dogs leave with families of their own while she remains behind, still waiting. Delilah’s spirit bright and she has the best smile! She greets everyone with soft eyes and a hopeful tail wag, as if today might be the day she gets the chance she has been longing for. She’s still just a puppy — eager to learn, eager to love, and eager to finally belong somewhere she can feel safe.
