She came into rescue heavily pregnant and proved to be an amazing mama. Now that her puppies are ready for their own journeys, Jolene is more than deserving of a home where she can officially retire from motherhood and become someone’s best friend. Jolene is sweet, smart, and delightfully silly. She loves being outside—rain, snow, sunshine, or even sleet doesn’t slow her down. She would happily play all day if given the chance and absolutely adores the other dog in her foster home. When playtime winds down, she’s content to cuddle up on the couch with you or her canine companion. She is very interested in cats—she truly loves them—but struggles to leave them alone, so a cat-free home or one with very dog-savvy cats would be best. Jolene is a smart girl who is crate trained, does well with baths, will spit things out when told “no,” and knows sit and stay. She loves people, though hats can be a little scary—even on familiar humans. With her big paws and goofy movements, Jolene is adorably clumsy and keeps her foster family laughing. Jolene does show food guarding with other animals, so she eats separately and does just fine with that setup. She is spayed, microchipped, heartworm tested, and up to date on vaccines, and she’s ready to find the loving home she’s always deserved.
