About Rob
Rob needs a calm foster or adoptive home where he can truly settle in. Once he feels secure, Rob is deeply affectionate and sweet—though it took him a few months with his rescuers to show his real personality. With new people, he’s timid and quick to hide, so patience is a must. If you let Rob open up on his own timeline, he'll reward you with loyal affection that’s worth every moment. Rob's FeLV status is still uncertain. He tested positive on SNAP but negative on his IFA, so vets recommend treating him as FeLV-positive until retesting in January 2026. Due to potential immune issues, he either needs to live with FeLV+ or vaccinated cats, or be introduced carefully and kept separate until things are clearer. He gets along well with gentle cats after a gradual introduction. His response to dogs is a mystery, so homes without canines or with a very slow intro are safest. He’s already house trained, neutered, and up to date on shots. Rob may take a while to show who he is, but once he does, you’ll know it was worth it. Your quiet patience will be his turning point.
