About Charlie
Charlie is a striking Ragdoll/Domestic Long Hair mix with a reputation for his beauty, but it's his character that tells his real story. Beneath that soft gray and white coat, heās a gentle, reserved soul who is slow to trust and sensitive to every new sound and change. This senior cat enjoys scratchers and occasional play, but adapting to a new environment takes him longer than most. He will likely hide for months after adoption, needing immense patience and routine. Charlieās skittishness isnāt a phaseāhis past left him wary, and becoming comfortable is a slow journey. He needs an adopter with significant cat experience and a quiet home: no children, dogs, or multiple pets, and no more than two people. Charlie requires a dedicated person who can work with the shelter director and cat behaviorist, including weekly visits for at least a month prior to adoption. Thereās no shortcut hereājust time, consistency, and a willingness to follow guidance strictly. The reward is a loyal, gentle companion for those willing to meet him where he is. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
