About Mirabelle

Mirabelle’s Story — From Outdoor Survivor to Indoor Sweetheart Sweet Mirabelle spent her early life outdoors, doing everything she could to raise her four precious kittens. A kind person noticed her struggling and brought the little family inside, then reached out to the rescue for help. Despite her challenges, Mirabelle was a devoted, attentive mama, and her kittens soon grew strong and found loving homes. Now it’s Mirabelle’s turn. Mirabelle has cerebellar hypoplasia (CH), which gives her a bit of wobble and makes certain movements trickier. She can walk and even gallop, but big jumps aren’t her thing. That doesn’t slow her down, though — she’s clever and determined. She happily scales her 3.5‑foot scratching post, and she uses furniture like a little obstacle course: hearth to coffee table, coffee table to couch, couch arm to side table, and finally a tiny hop to the bay window where she watches birds with her foster siblings. Give her a few small steps or ramps, and she’ll navigate the world like a pro. Mirabelle loves to play, whether she’s batting around tiny balls or flipping fabric mice with her paws. She enjoys the company of other cats but is just as content entertaining herself. When she’s not exploring or playing, this gorgeous girl is all about comfort. She adores curling up in a cozy box, but her true favorite place is a warm lap. She’ll happily let you know when she’s ready for cuddle time. Sunbeams are another great love — she’ll stretch out in a warm patch of light and snooze the afternoon away. Mirabelle has fully embraced indoor life. She’s litter trained, enjoys wet food (with some kibble and treats on the side), and loves watching ā€œCat TVā€ — birds, fish, bouncing balls, you name it. She’ll even compromise and watch sports or action movies with you. Because she can’t react as quickly as other cats, Mirabelle does best in a quieter home with minimal commotion. She’ll curl up at the foot of your bed if you give her a safe way to get there. After surviving the dangers of outdoor life, Mirabelle is more than ready to say goodbye Please note Mirabelle is available for adoption in the greater Charlotte area only.
