Say hello to our newest intake, Elle. Elle was found as a stray wearing a red sweater and brought to Miami-Dade Animal Services. Sadly, weeks passed and no one ever came looking for her. She is now safe with South Florida Beagle Rescue, where she's finally getting the care she deserves. We are currently working to determine the cause of her significant hair loss. Skin scrapes were performed twice and came back negative, so we suspect long-term, untreated allergies may be the underlying issue. Elle is also currently in heat, and once that passes, she will be spayed. In the meantime, we are accepting applications for her future home. Elle is a young beagle with lots of energy and potential. She knows how to sit but will need continued training, as she's still a bit of a jumper and pulls on the leash. With patience, consistency, and love, she will make a wonderful companion.
