About Stevie

Click apply to start the adoption process. Meet Stevie — an incredible survivor whose heart has remained gentle despite a difficult past. Stevie was found in dire condition after experiencing cruelty no animal should ever endure, and as a result, he is blind. However, his resilient spirit shines brightly! Stevie has healed, put on weight, and blossomed into an affectionate, joyful dog who absolutely loves being around people. Although he enjoys meeting friendly dogs, calm, trusted adults are his comfort zone. Structure, routine, and a handler who provides attentive support are ideal for helping him confidently navigate his world. This special Labrador Retriever mix walks beautifully on leash, enjoys relaxing in the yard, and cherishes time close to his people. When he’s excited to greet you, Stevie may get a little mouthy or nip at your leg—never out of aggression, but simply from enthusiastic energy and his inability to see. With calm guidance, he settles quickly and just wants to be loved. Stevie’s story is both heartbreaking and inspiring.
