Rikki
AvailableRikki is a small, spayed female mixed breed dog living in Washington, DC. She is still a baby and is currently making great progress with house training. Rikki enjoys playful moments and is looking for a supportive family to help her grow more confident.
About Rikki
Rikki is shy at first, but beneath that timid shell there’s an affectionate, playful pup who is happiest around her dog buddies. She’ll chase toys, gnaw on sticks, and collapse into a nap at your feet. Rikki has done well living with a cat, too, so she’s open to non-canine friends as long as they’re gentle. She’s mostly house trained, but she’s still a puppy and sometimes forgets. She’s quiet, rarely barks, and shares her toys freely—never one to grumble about sharing space or treats. Rikki may be nervous in new settings and needs time to warm up to people or unfamiliar outdoor spaces, especially city streets. Her foster has already seen her confidence bloom, and she’s started to enjoy regular walks around the block. Rikki is the sort of dog who makes a house brighter and gives as much love as she gets. If you’re able to offer patient guidance while she grows, she’ll meet you with endless affection. She’ll thrive in a calm, supportive home—preferably one with other dogs to help her settle in.
