Meet Bentley note: around 85# Bentley is a 3-year-old large mixed-breed pup, born April 16, 2022. We’ve had him since he was a puppy, and he’s always been full of life and love. He’s playful, friendly, and eager for attention — but also very energetic and strong, which can make him a handful on a leash at times. We had Bentley professionally trained through OffLeashK9 using an e-collar, but he didn’t respond well to that method in the long term. Still, he remembers his basic commands and responds when we work with him — he’s an intelligent dog who wants to engage and please. Unfortunately, Bentley needs more time and attention than we’re able to give him. He thrives with interaction, play, and structure. We’re hoping to find a home where he can get the consistent exercise, affection, and stimulation he deserves. We’re located in southeast Kentucky, about 80 miles from Knoxville. We’re happy to share more info and pictures — including shots from when he was a puppy and photos of his mom and dad. Bentley will thrive best with an experienced owner or an active family that understands large, high-energy dogs. We genuinely want the best for him and believe the right home is out there. Bently has never lived anywhere else, so we need his adopter to understand that he is going to require a few days to decompress when you take him home. He must be transported in a crate, as a quick meet-and-greet with a transfer will upset his balance. This is normal for dogs who haven't experienced strangers taking charge. He is a wonderful, sweet dog; he is only being rehomed because we can't give him the exercise and attention that he really needs for his breed.
