About Leo

Leo was surrendered to the San Diego Humane Society when his family moved. This sweet boy gets along well with other cats in our cattery. Despite his friendly nature, Leo has been waiting for months for someone to come and take him home. After enjoying a two-week Frosted Fling, we learned more about his gentle temperament and what a delightful companion he can be. We truly hope his forever family is out there. His foster mom reports that Leo has settled in nicely. He's very animal-friendly and has done well with their dogs, although he appreciates a little space if they become too excitable. He remains respectful towards the resident cat, keeping his distance when needed. Leo loves lounging on a cozy bed and frequently explores the living room. He enjoys the fresh air when the back door or window is open, taking in all the sights and sounds of the outdoors. He’s reliably used his litter box with no accidents at all. Though his front paws are declawed, it doesn’t hinder his happiness. He still loves to knead and hopes to find any leftover treats near the cat tree. Leo is affectionate and appreciates gentle pets, but he likes to set his boundaries; he prefers to lay next to you rather than being picked up. He would thrive in a home with teens or older, where his cues for attention can be respected. With trust, Leo's quirks will only improve. He is a quiet boy and offers a soft meow when greeting you, especially if you chat with him. The joy he shows when you return home is simply heartwarming. Ready to meet your new best friend?
