Turkey is a 4-5 year old pit bull terrier/mixed breed who stands out as one of those rare, endlessly sweet dogs that wins people over wherever he goes. This large boy is goofy, affectionate, and craves being part of the action—he loves a good crowd, happily greeting new faces at adoption events or hanging out with respectful kids. Turkey is happiest when he’s with his humans and will lean in, quite literally, for affection; expect a shadow following from room to room, always eager for your company and attention. He’s already dog friendly and solidly house trained, with leash manners that make walks enjoyable. Crate training is a work in progress. Turkey has proven himself at RFRD Academy but does struggle with some separation anxiety when settling into a new home—after being passed around, it’s understandable he wants that extra reassurance and belonging.
