About Hera
They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now! Meet Hera, a dilute calico female cat with a gentle spirit and a storied past. At just about two years old, she carries a name fitting a Greek goddess—symbolic of her nurturing soul. Hera arrived at Animal Ark with eight kittens of all ages, only some of which were actually her own, after surviving on a rundown rural Minnesota property. Thankfully, she and the kittens found safety before the winter weather became dangerous. Now, her motherly days are behind her as she settles into the warmth and comfort of shelter life. Hera has quickly grown accustomed to the love, excellent food, and attention offered by staff. While her experience with dogs and children is unknown, she is believed to thrive with slow, patient introductions into a new home. If you're looking for a companion with a loving heart and a story of resilience, be sure to stop by Animal Ark and say hello to Hera. Think you are the one? Submit an application!
