About Shrimp
Meet Shrimp! She earned her name thanks to her petite frame, but now that she has regular meals and some TLC, she may soon grow out of it. Shrimp is about four years old and spent most of her early life outside. Found as a feral with her four kittens (all adopted now), Shrimp quickly proved herself to be a dedicated single mom. She’s still somewhat semi-feral—she’ll hide whenever something startles her, and she can get overstimulated if petted for too long. She’ll need a patient, gentle adopter who’s willing to give her space and time to adjust. Despite her cautious side, Shrimp is affectionate and friendly. Before coming inside, she approached neighbors outside to request affectionate pets, and inside, she continues to ask for attention. She’s happy to curl up with her foster family and purr to show she feels at home. Shrimp also has a playful streak, and her time outdoors shows in her energetic nature and quick instincts. This girl does not get along with other cats, and is likely to have a hard time with dogs or young children. She’ll thrive best as an only pet in a quiet, understanding home. Shrimp is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and in great health. As a fun note, Shrimp is a Libra—no surprise she loves seeking out attention and balancing independence with affection. Questions about Shrimp
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Domestic short hair cats like Shrimp adapt well to most living situations, but she will do best in a quiet, low-traffic home where she can relax and feel safe.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Shrimp is now fully indoors, and domestic short hairs generally thrive as indoor cats who don’t require outdoor space. She’ll appreciate access to windows or safe places to perch.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
While domestic short hairs are often good with children, Shrimp is more comfortable in a child-free home due to her semi-feral background and sensitivity to overstimulation.
