About Fiona

Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started. Fiona is a lovable young terrier mix, possibly with Doodle in her background, looking for her second chance at happiness. After fending for herself in Rochester during the summer, she’s now learning to trust and flourish in her foster home. Fiona is a tender soul who craves affection once she feels secure, blossoming into a sweet companion as her confidence grows. She gets along well with cats and is friendly with other dogs her size, though she wouldn’t mind being your sole focus either. Fiona is both potty and crate trained, making her transition into home life a little smoother. While her leash manners have yet to be established, her foster recommends a martingale collar and double-leashing for added safety, as Fiona can be nervous and startle at loud noises. Patience and a gentle touch will help her warm up to new people and surroundings, but her affectionate nature will be worth the wait. Fiona is currently being treated for Lyme disease and will need a follow-up test in six months. She’s seeking a calm, loving family willing to invest the time and compassion she needs to feel truly at home. Please note: Fiona is only available for adoption within 20 miles of Rochester, NY.
