Mousse is a very independent, loyal girl. She is a fantastic dog that loves to run, play, and cuddle. She does well at home on her own and she is a very sweet, loving girl. However, Mousse is labeled as a special needs dog because she comes with her quirks. Mousse needs a patient owner who will be willing to work with her training and provide her with the level of activity and exercise she needs. Mousse would do best in a home with older kids (due to her high energy) and a home with no small animals- she gets along with other dogs, but tends to play rough so young, active dogs would make a good companion for her. She has a very high prey drive and while she can be friendly with cats, she tends to be too much for them. She does not do well with smaller animals or farm animals. Mousse needs structure and training to help her gain confidence. She will submissive pee when she gets nervous, and we will be honest, it happens a lot. Before she came to us, she was returned to the shelter twice before the age of 5 months. We aren’t sure what she went through in that time, but it seems to have a left a permanent mark. But when she bonds with her person, she is very loyal and very loving. Mousse’s adoption fee is sponsored! However, we will be requiring a foster period before adoption to make sure that the home is the right fit for both her and her family.
