Hi! My name is Sparky! I’ve had a very rough start and came into the shelter terrified and with some very serious bite wounds. A very special veterinarian helped me get to my OPA foster family, and while I am still very shy and startle easily, I’m very much on the mend now. Since being with my foster, I’m doing well with crate training, I’m learning to walk on a leash, and I load into the car & travel like a champ. I am learning to trust and becoming more curious about my people. I walk up to sniff them, am very gentle, and I recently started taking treats from their hands. By the way, I love dried beef liver treats and salmon skin!! I need a patient, quiet family that will give me plenty of time to warm up and help me continue to learn new things at a slow pace.
