AvailableBrewer is a medium-sized, short-coated Cattle Dog/Rough Collie mix in Marion, NC. He’s a neutered, adult male—about 4 years and 10 months old—who loves action and knows a host of commands. Brewer is house trained, gets along well with both cats and dogs, and is up to date on his vaccinations. His lively black and apricot/beige coat matches his spirited personality.
About Brewer
Brewer is a spirited, intelligent dog who brings a ton of energy and loyalty wherever he goes. He adores playing fetch, loves learning new tricks, and thrives in active settings. While he's a snuggle bug who’ll curl up at your side or sleep in your bed if allowed, Brewer also needs outdoor time—hiking, swimming, running next to a bike, and just being your sidekick. Eager to please, Brewer consistently shows off impressive obedience skills and listens well to commands like sit, stay, and leave it. His herding instincts are strong, so he could become a real partner on a hobby farm with continued training. Brewer does well with dogs, cats, and even chickens. Although he hasn’t had much time with kids, supervision is suggested around little ones. Deep down, he’s happiest simply being close to his people, even if it’s just resting at your feet. If you love outdoor adventures and want a loyal ride-along companion, Brewer is a perfect fit. Born July 28, he’s a creative and social Leo through and through. Questions about Brewer
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Brewer, being a Cattle Dog/Rough Collie mix, will thrive best in a home that has plenty of space for him to move and an active lifestyle. Houses with large yards or access to outdoor areas suit him well. Apartments might be a challenge unless he gets extensive daily exercise.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Brewer benefits greatly from having ample outdoor space where he can run, play fetch, and exercise his energy. An enclosed yard or regular access to parks or trails would give him a fulfilling environment.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
As a Cattle Dog/Rough Collie mix, Brewer can do well in homes with children, especially if they respect his space and energy. Supervision around younger kids is smart, since he hasn’t spent much time with them yet.
