Davey is about 8 years young, fully vetted, heart worm negative and weighs about 30lbs. He is super sweet and friendly. He loves other dogs, has no issues with cats and is great with children. He knows how to sit on command, walks well on a leash, is food motivated so he learns quickly and is gentle taking treats! Davey was picked up by a citizen who witnessed him being abandoned on a highway with his big brother and much older sister. Unfortunately, the person who saved them from being hit by a car couldn't keep these darling dogs due to restrictions at her housing community. She kept them until neighbors complained then she brought them to the shelter. She said Davey is affectionate, minds well, house trained and slept in a crate all night long. She donated to the shelter to keep them safe but there was a public hoarding situation in the same county where 100 dogs were seized, and the shelter is beyond FULL. Davey's a spry boy - loves to play or just curl up next to you. A rescue specializing in seniors took his sister, so she is safe. His big brother has also been adopted locally. Davey is left behind.
