Meet Peach Pie, a sweet 6-year-old, 55-lb girl who could really use a soft place to land while she heals. Peach Pie came to us from the city shelter carrying a basketball-sized mammary mass, which was surgically removed on 1/7/26. She's been an absolute champ through it all and is now on the road to recovery. Her surgical incision is healing well, and she has shown no behavior concerns - she's a gentle, easygoing lady who has handled everything like a champ. Peach Pie will need strict activity restriction and to wear an e-collar through 1/21 while she continues her recovery, along with an easy medication routine for pain management and antibiotics through that date. Her foster should monitor her incision and overall comfort, and she should avoid any rough activity until she's medically cleared. She is scheduled for suture removal around 1/21.
