About Hank
Hank is a Belgian Malinois mix with German Shepherd lineage, sitting at about 2 to 3 years old. After being left behind by a neighbor and enduring frequent confinement, Hank learned a few escape tricks out of necessity. Now safe and getting his bearings, he's looking for a stable, active home that can give him the structure he needs. Hank is up to date on Rabies and DHPP vaccines and will be neutered this week. He's a very social dog who plays well with other dogs and enjoys attention, toys, car rides, and especially cuddles. He chases after cats but hasn't shown intent to harm, and he's quick to vocalize his excitement—the dog "talks" as much as some people. Hank knows his basics and walks well on a leash, showing himself to be a quick study eager for a leader. His past has left him uncomfortable with closed-in spaces and prone to some separation anxiety, though he's already improved with routine and reassurance. True to the Malinois spirit, Hank is protective and bond-oriented, and he shines in an environment with strong boundaries and lots of engagement. He's best suited to an experienced, active adopter who knows working breeds and enjoys having a devoted, trainable companion. Hank has loads of untapped potential and just wants to belong. Fun fact: with an August 8th birthday, Hank is a Leo—expect extra heart and loyalty. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
