About Sven

Click apply to start the adoption process. Meet Sven, a lovable and energetic German Shepherd Dog who was saved from euthanasia in January 2025 and has spent the past year living in a kennel. Although he has had some help along the way, Sven's opportunities for learning have been limited, and he's ready for a fresh start. This happy pup is strong, affectionate, and eager for attention—he's always up for a good belly rub or a snuggle in your lap once he knows he can trust you. Life in the kennel has left him anxious and frustrated, but he's still friendly and playful, especially when it comes to fetch and soccer. Sven is quite smart, already knowing commands like sit, wait, break, ready, and down, though he could certainly use more practice and consistent guidance. While Sven is currently the only dog, he's working on his manners around other pups. However, he should not go to a home with small animals. Sven adores splashing in kiddie pools, even on chilly days, and is looking for someone to foster or adopt him so he can leave kennel life behind and become part of a loving, active home. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
