Eliana Gc finally got a name after years spent as a breeder dog, followed by being dumped at a shelter with a massive mammary tumor. After a rough start and four weeks in animal control, her foster mom stepped in to give her the chance to know comfort and love. Following surgery to remove both the tumor and her reproductive organs, Eliana is now free of her old life. She’s adjusting, but old habits linger—she’ll pace in circles when nervous, a habit from too much time in cramped cages. Still, she’s learning to enjoy grass, fresh air, and the feeling of safety she never had before. Eliana has lost most of her teeth and startles easily, especially if picked up without warning. She can’t see well, but her sense of smell keeps her oriented, and she’s getting better each day at relaxing around people. Slow, gentle handling works best. She’s not fully house trained but uses puppy pads with guidance and a routine. She does get along with both cats and dogs and just needs a quiet adult home where patience comes first.
