About Penny
Penny is a young pit bull terrier mix, about two years old as of November 2023, with a big personality and striking blue eyes. She was saved from a high-kill shelter down south just in time, and after arriving in foster care, it was discovered she was pregnant. Penny cared for her puppies with dedication, and now she’s ready for her own fresh start. Currently fostering in Mississippi and hoping to head north to Pennsylvania, Penny is playful, athletic, and has energy to burn. She needs an adopter who enjoys staying active and can provide a yard for her legendary zoomies. Penny’s shy at first, but after a few treats and some patience, she warms up fast—she’s especially partial to “Fromm Crunchy O’s.” When it comes to other dogs, Penny does well with submissive dogs her size or larger, provided introductions go slowly. She’ll need someone experienced, as she guards her food and toys, so a household without small kids is best. Penny is spayed, up to date on her vaccines, and eager to find a family who matches her adventurous spirit. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
