About Lizzie

Lizzie is a three-year-old pit bull mix who ran out of luck when her owner left her behind at an apartment complex in northern Mississippi. Now safe in foster care, she's hoping for a new start with a family up north in Pennsylvania. Lizzie’s about 70 pounds, with a white and cream coat and a big personality to match. She's incredibly friendly with people and gets along well with other dogs. Lizzie is used to using a doggie door, so she'll need a patient adopter to help transition her to a more conventional house training routine. Her shots are all current, and she's spayed. After arriving at the rescue, Lizzie was treated for heartworm and has made a healthy recovery. She's ready for her next chapter and hopes to meet a family who will never leave her behind.
