About Nemo
Nemo, short for Nehemiah, might just be the gentlest dog you’ll meet. At about 2.5 years old, he’s finding his feet again—rediscovering comfort, trust, and even the joys of play. His foster says Nemo’s the kind of lovebug who wants nothing more than to snuggle up all night and shadow you during the day. He loves other dogs and is good with cats, showing polite curiosity and sharing toys, even though he’s just now learning what those are. Benebones have quickly become a favorite. He has no food aggression and keeps his distance from new people, but sidles up quietly when he feels safe—timid but never pushy, and never aggressive. Out and about, Nemo shows his easygoing side: calm in the car (especially with a canine buddy), at ease outdoors, always gentle and good company. He hasn’t been tested off-leash, but early signs point to solid recall and a desire to stay close. Nemo is a low-drama, truly affectionate companion, just looking to belong at someone’s side.
