Elephant is an 8-year-old Shih Tzu mix who came into rescue after suffering serious neglect. When he arrived, Elephant had ulcers in both eyes, an ear infection, and a severely matted coat. Heās currently healing up with daily treatments and starting to feel relief, but heāll need someone willing to maintain that care so he never winds up in a bad situation again. The ideal adopter has experience with Shih Tzus and is committed to meeting his ongoing needs. Because of the rescueās policies, Elephant wonāt be adopted to homes with children under 5 or with adults under 21, and adopters should live within an hour of Albany, NY.
