About Pennsy
Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you. Pennsy is an incredibly sweet girl who captured hearts the moment she arrived at the shelter as a stray. Always wagging her tail and greeting everyone with a gentle smile, Pennsy adores belly rubs and leans into every cuddle and play session with her humans. Volunteers rave about her, noting her attentiveness to handlers—she's picking up loose-leash walking and basic commands like sit, with shake and touch well on their way. Nothing makes her happier than a good ear rub, which will have her melting in your lap. Despite recovering from Distempervirus, Pennsy remains energetic, people-friendly, and affectionate. She loves toys, enjoys treats, and is a staff and volunteer favorite. When she was able to attend playgroup, she got along politely with other dogs and proved to be social, easygoing, and adaptable. Because she's still managing her symptoms and could be contagious, she cannot stay at the shelter much longer and is seeking her loving home or a foster family who can give her the care she deserves.
