About Hooks
Hooks is a beautiful brown tabby with silky-soft fur and striking leopard-like spots who may be a little shy at first, but truly blossoms with time and love. She is smart, extremely food motivated, and would be easy and fun to train, especially with puzzle toys and enrichment activities. Hooks is very playful and athletic, leaping high into the air after feather toys, and she absolutely adores other cats—she must go to a home with a feline friend or be adopted with one (or both!) of her siblings Pipes and Shark. At bedtime and in the quiet moments, her affectionate side shines: she loves to sleep with you, seeks gentle attention when she’s sleepy, and uses the tiniest, sweetest mews to ask for love. If you’re looking for a gentle soul who will grow into a devoted lap cat and reward your patience with deep affection, Hooks is ready to find her forever home—come meet her and fall in love today. Currently in foster care in Los Angeles. Meet & greets / pickup will be coordinated upon approved application & homecheck video. Foster-to-adopt is always an available option and recommendation. All Del Gato kitties are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, tested for FIV/FeLv, dewormed, and flea treated prior to adoption. To begin the application process, please fill out our application here: https://form.jotform.com/212117959297062 We will try our best to be in touch within 24-48 hours. Thank you! ____________________ Del Gato Rescue is a small 501(c)(3) nonprofit cat rescue based in Los Angeles, CA. We are a handful of volunteers who work normal jobs by day and rescue cats on nights & weekends. We receive countless daily requests from the community for assistance with cats and kittens found outside in need of rescue. We focus on rescuing friendly cats from the streets, getting them healthy and vetted in foster care, and finding their purrrfect forever home! We prevent hundreds of cats per year from entering our city shelters and being euthanized. We also TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) and vaccinate unadoptable/feral street cats, which we believe is the only solution to the root cause of the feline population crisis. If you'd like to volunteer with us, fostering is a great way to help our cause, and it allows us space to save more kitties off the streets. If you are unable to foster, we are also always looking for help with transportation to and from vet appointments. Please send us an email at delgatorescue@gmail.com to be a part of our rescue community. Thanks for your support!
