Grand Grandma Duchess
AvailableGrand Grandma Duchess is a 16-year-old spayed female Domestic Short Hair with beautiful calico coloring. She currently resides in PITTSBURGH, PA. Vaccinations are up to date, and although she is a senior, Duchess carries herself with the confidence of a much younger cat. She is managing some ongoing medical conditions, but she's stable and looking for a quiet, patient household to enjoy her golden years.
About Grand Grandma Duchess
Great Grandma Duchess, sometimes known as Tinyboop, came up from Philly last November after a rough start—she was too thin, dealing with hyperthyroidism, and out of time at a city shelter. Her story felt unfinished, so she landed safely here. Since then, her thyroid has stabilized, she's put on nearly a pound, and her vet is encouraged by her steady progress. No change to her meds for now; just careful monitoring and checkups in a few months to keep her comfortable and thriving. Now, Duchess is a happily chubby senior who takes real delight in every meal, drinks with gusto, kneads biscuits, and rules her space with loud squawks and endless purring. She’s got a big personality—wise, strong-willed, utterly full of herself in the best possible way. Expect her to command a room simply by being in it. Duchess is not a fan of other cats, so her dream retirement spot is quiet, calm, and all hers. She needs a thoughtful, patient human ready to let her run the show and dote on her in her golden years. Duchess is about 16 years old, managing her hyperthyroid and heart murmur with regular checks and a special c/d diet. Her adoption fee is reduced as a nod to her age and vet care needs, and the next follow-up vet visit will be covered by the rescue; afterward, you'll continue her medical care. She’s been let down before, and it’s time for her story to finally get the comforting, gentle final chapter she deserves. Your new best friend is just one click away.
