About Susie Q
Introducing Susie Q. . . a gorgeous, 52-pound, 1-year-old bundle of love in a Doberman/Smooth-Coated Collie mix body. Her ideal forever home is a reasonably calm, loving household where she can feel safe, cherished, and truly part of the family. She will thrive with people to whom she will bring happinessby hop/skipping around, settling in for cozy moments, and blossoming at her own pace. A family that values patience, routine, and affection will help her continue to build confidence and enjoy the simple joys of home life. One of Susie Q's favorite things is going outside with her person. The moment the door opens, she does her happy little hop while wagging her tail like it’s powered by pure joy. She’ll settle in to watch the squirrels like it’s her full-time job, soaking up the breeze and the sunshine as it glides across her beautiful black fur. It’s impossible not to smile watching her take in the world so contently. So, her forever home should have a fenced yard for everyone to enjoy. . . together. Of course, Susie is house and crate trained. She also has a condition called phocomelia, which means she was born with shortened limbs. It does not cause her pain and does not slow her down or limit her quality of life. Susie has adapted beautifully and moves, plays, and explores just like any other pet. She does not require special care or accommodations and is able to handle her daily activities independently. Her condition is simply a part of what makes her unique and resilient. Susie's adoption fee is $75 and includes her spay, vaccinations, wellness exam, heartworm test, and microchip!
