About Sherbert
What are you waiting for? Apply today! Meet Sherbet – a sweet soul in search of a cat whisperer. Sherbet is a 7-8 month-old orange tabby with velvety soft stripes and a gentle heart who just needs the right person to help him truly shine. His early life wasn’t easy, and much of his initial contact with people happened during times he was unwell and in need of care. As a result, trusting humans has taken him a bit longer than it does for most kittens. Sherbet is making progress every day. He no longer hides and likes to observe the world from his favorite safe spots. There’s no aggression in him—no hissing, growling, or swatting—his reaction is simply to retreat if he feels overwhelmed. Since being neutered, he’s been relaxing more and has even started accepting gentle pets from his foster mom, which is a huge step for him. Sherbet needs a patient, understanding adopter—a true cat whisperer—someone who celebrates small victories and lets him take everything at his own pace. With kindness and patience, Sherbet can grow into a wonderful and affectionate companion. If you love the challenge of earning a shy cat's trust, Sherbet is waiting to meet you. He may not be the cat who races into your arms on day one, but with time and understanding, he might just choose you as his person—because you gave him the space and safety to become himself. Sherbet is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, has tested negative for FIV and FELV, and is completely litter box trained. His adoption fee is $50. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
