Boone the Hugger is a 4-year-old Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler) currently sporting an ear bandage as he recovers from a hematoma. At about 65 pounds and fresh from farm life in Alabama, Boone is learning the ropes of indoor living and loving every minute of couch time. He’s healthy and up to date on vaccines, but most of all he’s a true cuddle bug who thrives on both human attention and daily adventure. Boone is house training in progress, eager to please, and quick to form strong bonds with his people. He knows basic commands—the kind of dog who stands up for proper hugs—and will shadow you around the house. Boone is accustomed to having dogs and other animals nearby but can get a little possessive of his people when there's competition for affection, so he enjoys being the star of the show. He’s happiest with routine exercise, playtime, or even having small jobs to do to keep his mind and body busy. Boone still has some habits to work through, like jumping up or counter surfing, so ongoing training will be important.
