About Rosario Purrmanent Resident

Lets make it official, apply to adopt! When you see “R & R,” you might think rest and relaxation, but at Crash's Landing Cat Rescue, it means Rhys and Rosario—a remarkable mother-and-son duo who arrived in late April 2024. Their journey began when a compassionate former adopter, unable to keep them long-term due to already having three cats, ensured both were spayed/neutered and brought indoors. Though their first impression was of calm and approachability, it was soon clear they were deeply fearful of humans—easy on the eyes, yet not so easy-going. With patience and time, modest progress was made. Rosario, estimated to be born in late spring of 2022 (making her a determined Taurus—known for gentle steadfastness), remains watchful and reserved, content to watch over her much shyer son Rhys, who deeply relies on her presence. Their bond is among the most genuine and heartfelt. While their companionship flourishes, direct affection from humans has come only in small steps; they now accept gentle pets occasionally, a milestone once thought out of reach. Although they have grown comfortable in their current home and shown improvement, they are considered semi-feral and will remain cherished “Purrmanent Residents.” Rosario models peaceful coexistence and steadiness for Rhys while forging her own quiet path towards trust. These two may not seek adoption, but they have found safety, respect, and love exactly where they are. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
