About Doug Judybonded Buddy Program
Doug Judy is one of those cats who manages to keep people talking and guessing. He came in with a history that called for patience and observation—he was pulled off the adoption floor due to a chronic immune-mediated disease, and needed months of careful medical attention. Now, several treatments and vet visits later, Doug has shown everyone what makes him a standout. He’s got a streetwise confidence, a look that hints at his past life, and a surprising sweetness underneath it all. Those round cheeks and sleek black coat don’t hurt, either. Born in March 2021 (making him a dreamy Pisces—no wonder he’s great at both napping and social scheming), Doug is happiest when he’s hanging around his favorite feline, Nimba. Doug is FIV+, energetic, and very playful—he hits his stride zooming around the shelter with Nimba. He’ll need a home where he can run and wrestle with a cat buddy (ideally Nimba), and with a human who’ll take the time to earn his trust. Doug’s personality shines brightest in calm, secure settings—during vet visits, he’s relaxed and affectionate. His medical situation does require an adopter ready to partner up long-term: Doug’s condition may flare without warning and needs quick, attentive veterinary care. To make things easier, his future adopter will have all medical expenses covered for life at Dr. Jen’s clinic, including vaccines and routine or emergency care. As a bonus, Doug and Nimba are a bonded pair; both will go home together for the adoption fee of one. Doug isn’t a big fan of nail trims, but regular appointments with his familiar vets make this a manageable chore. He’s ready for a home where there’s as much patience and joy as there is energy to spare. If you want to give two clever, lovable cats their happy ending, Doug Judy is waiting. Ready to fall in love?
