About Virginnia Purrmanent Resident

Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin! Let’s get one thing clear: Virginnia is truly unique, not seeking adoption, and has become a permanent, powerful presence at Crash's Landing Cat Rescue & Placement Center. Since 2019, Virginnia has spent her days with her cohort Polly, both of them having survived an incredibly tough beginning that included abandonment, neglect, and inbreeding. Through all the challenges, Virginnia has made her preferences known—boundaries are non-negotiable, gratitude is not guaranteed, and affection is a privilege she does not bestow. Her story is as much a tribute to her unyielding spirit as it is a reminder that every cat deserves to have her life documented and valued. Virginnia was one of the last of "The Timid Ten," a group who came to the rescue via several unfortunate circumstances and whose histories and personalities all ran deep with resilience. Over time, even as other cats were adopted or succumbed to illness, Virginnia chose to remain fiercely independent, her attitude as unmistakable as her formidable appearance. Born in late 2016, she embodies all the status and wisdom of a feisty Sagittarius—never forgiving, never forgetting, and always ready to hold a grudge. At her core, she prefers the stability and routine of the shelter over the upheaval of a new home. Her large stature is matched only by her big attitude and unwavering resolve to do things her way, every day. Virginnia will always have a home with the sanctuary she knows and trusts, where she is safe, provided for, and respected on her own terms. Not every cat’s story ends in a home; some, like hers, end with true belonging. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
