Sadie's story begins when she was found at an abandoned house on some hunting land in Alabama. The landowners' attempt to find any possible owners was unsuccessful. They were not able to keep her, so they reached out to others. She is now with us, her foster family, and looking for a new home. Sadie is a hound-mix, about 7 months old, and weighs about 40 lb. She is very friendly with people and has gotten along with all other dogs she has met or played with. She was around some cats outdoors, but needs to be properly tested. She has adjusted well to life at our house. She is house-trained with no accidents and kennel-trained. Being a young dog, she has a lot of personality and is very curious. Therefore, she needs plenty of exercise, such as long walks and play, along with continued, consistent training. She also shows no signs of resource/food guarding. She is currently learning basic commands and walks well on a leash. She really loves her long walks and playing ball in the backyard. Sadie would likely do well in a home with other dogs and needs a home with a yard.
