About Max

Max is a chatty baby tiger. He was an escape artist, affection dodger, and professional hider at his foster home initially. He learns everything from other cats, so he would do well with some younger, energetic, and curious cats. Having ally cats is non-negotiable; he needs their guidance still so he can continue to grow socially. Every moment is a potential breakthrough, and he continues to come out of his shell the more time you spend with him. By the end of the third month with him, you can likely expect Max to keep you company in your bed. He is very observant and learns how to get to safety very quickly. He might need to keep you in line by slapping you for no reason. He needs stimulation and interaction, but he doesn't really know how to ask for it. The best little peeps come from him, and he will try to carry on conversations. He has gorgeous spots and stripes, a fluffy belly, and little pointy ear hair antennae. When he finishes kneading the bread dough, he forms himself into the most perfect loaf you have ever seen. Loves: calling out to socialize, other cats, cardboard scratchers, all types of gravy canned food, catnip, having furniture to hide under, using a bin of clean sheets as a bed, playing, string toys to catch and drag to his lair to keep as a prize, talking back, a nice full bowl of water, and lickable snacks. Dislikes: being held, being startled, and having to be an only cat. He'd likely do best in a home with adults or older, cat-savvy kiddos. Max is estimated to be almost three years old. He has been neutered, dewormed, flea treated, microchipped, vaccinated, and has tested FIV/FeLV-. Do you have room in your home and heart for a big orange baby who needs a bit of patience and time to settle in? Consider Max!
