About Mia
Mia is a 1-year-old mixed breed with a happy, active spirit. She weighs about 50 pounds and thrives on running, playing fetch, and exploring outdoors. Toys, bones, and sticks keep her busy, and she’s already mastered “sit” while learning “lay.” Mia is making progress with house training and knows how to walk on a leash without pulling. She’s gentle, loves a good tug or chew toy, and treats furniture with respect. Loud noises, like construction, tend to make Mia nervous, so a fenced yard is best for her routines and security. Her foster family says she aims to please and has a playful, affectionate side. Mia gets along with other dogs and has been reported to do well with children, although she hasn’t been directly exposed to them. One of her sweetest quirks: she often has her tongue sticking out—even when she’s up and about. Mia is heartworm positive and has started treatment; her rescue will continue to support her care. She’s already spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and on preventatives. This gentle yet playful pup is ready for her next home in Normal, IL. Give them the home they have been waiting for.
