About Joy
Joy is a 7-year-old, 73-pound Pit Bull mix who truly lives up to her name. She’s lively and fun-loving, happiest when she’s out for a long walk or tossing around a plushie toy. Joy picks up on new things fast—she already knows commands like "sit," "down," and "come." Her friendly nature shines, but she’ll need a home that keeps her both mentally and physically engaged. Joy is house trained, spayed, and up to date on her vaccinations. She’s lived with older children before, so she could be a fit for families with teens given a thoughtful introduction. Joy doesn’t have much history with other dogs or cats but could settle in after a slow introduction. Her adoption fee has already been covered by a generous supporter. She’s currently in foster care, so email dogfosterrescue@sspca.org to learn more. Start your journey together! Apply now.
