About Kenne

Kenne is a little bulldog mix with a big heart and a very special journey ahead. At around 30 pounds, he’s young, compact, and full of personality — goofy, affectionate, and clearly eager to soak up everything life has to offer. Kenne is currently looking for a foster-to-adopt home that’s willing to grow with him. He has Grade 3 luxating patellas in his back legs and congenital defects in his front elbows, which may impact him later in life. Once Kenne is placed in a foster-to-adopt home, his patella surgery will be scheduled, and the rescue will fully cover the cost of his orthopedic surgeries. He will need a supportive environment to help him through recovery, but with proper care and commitment, his future is bright. Despite his orthopedic needs, Kenne is doing incredibly well. He’s ramp trained and able to navigate a few steps, though he does best with minimal stairs or accessible entryways. He sleeps comfortably in his crate and is making steady progress with housetraining, which is expected to continue improving with routine and consistency, especially following his neuter. Kenne is dog-friendly but very enthusiastic, so thoughtful introductions are important to ensure a good match. He loves people and enjoys attention, though he can be mouthy at times, making an adult-only or older-kids home the best fit. He’s treat-motivated, eager to learn, and already walking nicely on leash, though he may try to chase passing cars. At home, he enjoys Benebones, is discovering the joy of stuffed toys, and is just beginning to understand how wonderful snuggling can be. What Kenne truly needs is patience, understanding, and someone willing to commit to him fully — through surgery, recovery, and all the learning that comes with it. In return, he offers loyalty, laughter, and the kind of bulldog love that makes every day a little brighter. Kenne doesn’t need a perfect home; he needs the right one. Adoption is $375, which includes spay/neuter at our vet, vaccines, dewormer, microchip, and clean bill of health. Although we work to potty train all of our dogs, we cannot guarantee full house training before adoption. Regression is a normal part of transitioning to a new home.
