About Mama Smurf
Click apply to start the adoption process. Meet mama Smurf, a loving Labrador Retriever/mixed breed girl who is searching for a nurturing foster home where she can recover and grow stronger. She and her group of sweet puppies are currently positive for distemper, but with a calm and caring environment, their prognosis remains hopeful. Recovery is expected to take about three months, with the most important ingredient being a peaceful home outside of the shelter. If you have a quiet space and can provide basic daily care and lots of comfort, mama Smurf and her puppies could truly thrive in your care. Distemper is not contagious to adult, fully vaccinated dogs, so many households can safely lend a hand. The shelter will offer all the support and medical guidance you and these deserving pups need during this time. Fostering is powerful—it gives them safety, stability, and a brighter future. Even if you can only offer your home temporarily, your compassion could make all the difference. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
