Meet Cooper! 🐾 Cooper is a neutered male, Treeing Walker Coonhound. He is approximately 6 years old and weighs around 80 lbs. Cooper's owner recently downsized from a house to a small apartment and she is finding it tough to keep Cooper content there. She has worked with several trainers, but has found that he needs more of a physical outlet than she can provide. Cooper loves to go on walks! He can be protective of his territory or space and makes sure to tell off delivery drivers or the mailman. Cooper does enjoy playing with other dogs, though it’s important to note that her prefers smaller, female dogs. As is to be expected, Cooper is not good with cats! Cooper knows basic commands like sit, lay down or give you his paw. He also knows the word quiet and stop. Cooper could take pets all day long from his human and loves affection. He especially loves scratches on his booty and neck. Cooper is treat motivated. He loves bully sticks, peanut butter and bones. Cooper also likes to people watch. He loves to stay outside and lay down. Again in typical hound fashion, he can be quite vocal. Cooper did tear both his ACLs back in 2022 and had surgery to repair them. These injuries and their surgeries have caused him to be adorably bow-legged. If you’re looking for an active and loving hound dog with lots of personality, Cooper could be a great fit!
