About Sally Super Smart
Sally had a sad start in life. She was abandoned as a young puppy on the side of a road....malnourished and covered in mange. Thankfully, she was scooped up and taken into foster care where she has received lots of TLC. Sally is now happy, healthy 10 month old girl ready and waiting to hang her leash in her forever home. Her foster mom loves her and wishes she could keep her, but health issues prevent her from being able to provide the exercise that a young active dog needs. Sally's breed is a best guess. She's believed to be a shepherd/heeler mix. Her current weight is 50 pounds and she'll likely stay in that range, though may fill out a bit more. She is house and crate trained and goes willingly into her kennel when asked. She's extremely smart and lets her foster mom know when it's dinner time or potty time. She also walks well on leash, though if she spots a squirrel, the chase is on. Sally is has been around older children and gets along nicely. Typical of heelers, her herding instinct will lead her to nudge or nip from behind when playing, so small kids would not be a good match. It takes her a while to warm up to strangers, but once she gets to know you, she is very sweet. She's a responsive, highly trainable pup who bonds to her people. She will do best if someone is around during the day she's prone to separation anxiety if left alone for long periods. Sally gets along great with other dogs and we think she'd be thrilled to have a doggy companion. She was attacked by a cat so she's inclined to chase them. She loves to be outside and would thrive in a home with a fenced yard where she can sniff around to her heart's content. Sally is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccination. Her doggy bag is packed and she's ready to bring her loyalty and devotion to her forever home. Please email Chris at rescue3@earthlink.net for an application. Her adoption fee is $400.
