About Dakota

Dakota’s story has seen more heartbreak than most, but you’d never guess it from how she leans in for love. She was pulled from a Los Angeles shelter, only for her new rescue to abandon her again, this time at a boarder’s. Luckily, the boarder refused to give up on her, and now Dakota finally has a shot at real stability. She’s all in with people – loyal, deeply connected, and hungry for affection. She craves being someone’s constant companion and will stick by your side through anything. She can’t share her home with other dogs or cats, but she’s got more than enough affection for one whole family. Dakota lives for chasing a ball, hiding her bones, and soaking up every bit of attention. There’s an old leg injury in her past that sometimes flares up if she overdoes activity, so she’s happiest with a good balance of play and real downtime. You’ll find her just as delighted to snuggle close on the couch as to head outside to toss a ball. If you want a devoted friend who needs to be your one and only, Dakota is as good as it gets. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
