About Gia
Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you. Meet Gia! Gia is a spirited, affectionate adult dog looking for the perfect home to enjoy her golden years. Originally rescued from Puerto Rico in 2019, she has lived with one family for six years and is now seeking a fresh start. Gia thrives on human interaction—she's loving, energetic, and loves cuddling, walks, sunbathing, and any outdoor adventure. Outings are her favorite, especially trips to plant nurseries! She is smart, knows her basic commands, and eagerly offers her paw for treats. Gia gets excited when she sees other dogs on walks, so ongoing leash training would be a great benefit to her. She enjoys meeting new people and forms quick bonds, making her a wonderful companion. However, Gia is best suited for a home with adults or older kids, as she requires appropriate boundaries and supervision due to a prior incident involving a toddler. Those looking to adopt her should provide a structured, loving environment that gives her the sense of security she needs. Born on July 29, Gia is a proud Leo—a sun sign known for loyalty and a great big heart! Make their next chapter their best one yet.
