About Xena
Xena is an affectionate, energetic Black Labrador Retriever mix in Mount Pleasant, TX. At just under three years old, she brings a lively and sweet nature to every environment. She's spayed and up to date on vaccinations. Xena thrives with structure and enjoys being active—she loves people, learns fast, and is always eager to please. Her kennel remains spotless, she never destroys her bedding, and she respects corrections when given consistently. While she keeps a clean space, her high energy means she still pulls some on leash, but she's making real progress with each walk. Rescued from the euthanasia list as a puppy, Xena was adopted but returned after having difficulties with another dog and a cat in her previous home. She’s looking for an active family prepared to give her time, attention, structure, and ongoing training. Xena gets along well with respectful kids and other dogs but does not do well with cats. Her quick mind and affectionate side make her a stand-out companion for the right household. Fun fact: With her October birthday, Xena is a Libra—known for charm and a love of balance!
