About Mercy May
*** If you have any questions or would like to meet any of our adoptable cats, email catadoptions@nawsus.org. Please include a cell number and check your SPAM folder if you do not receive a timely response. Meet MercyMay! Born in late October 2024, this beautiful long-haired tabby has already overcome so much in her short life. MercyMay was rescued by NAWS from southern Illinois after being tagged for euthanasia, and she came into foster care as a very scared, unsure little girl. With time, patience, and the gentle help of her feline foster siblings, she has blossomed into a sweet and affectionate companion. Now she loves to hop into bed with you, grab your arm for pets, and curl up in your lap during TV time, where she’ll “talk” to you with her adorable little meow. MercyMay still prefers things on her terms and isn’t quite comfortable being picked up from a standing position yet, but she continues to build trust every day. For someone willing to move at her pace, the reward is a loyal, loving bond. She would do well either as an only cat or in a home with other friendly cats who can help her feel secure. Want to help care for her while she waits to find her forever home? You can be a "Sponsor!" Click on the "sponsor" button on this profile and your one-time donation will be used for vital everyday essentials such as her food, litter and medical care! Thank you for helping save lives! All NAWS cats are spayed/neutered, micro-chipped and up to date on vaccines. A Cat Adoption Application is required should you decide you’d like to apply to adopt a NAWS cat. Please complete and submit the application electronically on our website at http://www.nawsus.org.
