About Esmae & Petula

Esmae and Petula are a bonded mother-daughter pair with distinct personalities and a warm backstory. Esmae, born on May 13, 2020, was a nursing mother discovered during a TNR project; instead of returning outdoors, she and her kitten Petula (born May 10, 2021) joined a rescue for a better life together. Esmae, a socialite at heart, warms up after a little time and becomes delightfully chatty and playful, often teasing you into earning her affection. She adapts best to quieter homes, where her gentle nature truly shines. Petula, affectionately known as Bee-Bee, is more reserved but quietly sweet and curious. She’s sharp, learns quickly, and responds when called, showing her intelligence. Both are timid with new people but don’t hide away, genuinely interested in forming a bond at their own pace. They don’t get along well with other cats, so they are looking for a home where it can just be the two of them. With their short, unique calico coats and medium size, they make a striking pair. As a bonus, their adopter will receive custom watercolor portraits of both cats, underscoring how special they are. Esmae is a classic Taurus, grounded and steady; Petula, a gentle Taurus too, offers steadfast companionship for the right person. They are up to date on vaccines, microchipped, spayed, house trained, and have tested negative for Felv/FIV. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
