About Valkyrie

Valkyrie is a one-year-old Husky with a gentle, quiet spirit who’s still figuring out what safety and trust mean. He’s extremely timid and isn’t comfortable with being touched yet, but you can see glimmers of progress—especially now that he’s starting to understand leash training. Valkyrie needs a home that’s patient, slow-paced, and truly attuned to the needs of a shy, fearful dog finding his footing in the world. His adopters must be willing to follow clear routines and work directly with one of our trainers to support his rehabilitation; consistency and understanding are essential. The first weeks may be slow, but for someone willing to go at Valkyrie’s pace, the payoff will be watching a scared dog begin to trust. He isn’t the type to seek attention or affection right away, but he has it in him to form deep, meaningful connections with someone who lets him come out of his shell on his terms. If you have experience with sensitive, fearful dogs, or are committed to learning how to help one heal, Valkyrie could change your idea of companionship. Click apply to start the adoption process.
