About Onyx: Featured Pet!!

Onyx: Featured Pet!! is a sensitive, black, short-haired adult cat currently living in foster care near Edinburg, PA. Returned to the rescue after being bullied by other cats, Onyx is shy and cautious in new situations but truly blossoms with a patient, gentle approach. He’s happiest in a quiet home where he won’t be startled by noise and prefers the company of one laid-back adult cat over a busy household. Onyx comes alive when offered gentle affection and the occasional treat—petting sessions and making 'air muffins' are some of his favorite things once he feels comfortable. Brushing is tolerated, and with time, he’ll reward kindness with loyal companionship, sometimes curling up in a lap or letting you carry him. He is neutered, FIV/FeLV negative, current on FVRCP and rabies vaccines, microchipped, dewormed, and regularly receives flea prevention. He must remain strictly indoors and may not be declawed.
